SIKESTON, Mo. -- Richard Dale Ward, 48, of Sikeston died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 4, 1953, in St. Louis, son of Robert and Mildred Wakefield Ward. He and Alice Ward were married April 3, 1975, in Sikeston.

Ward was a cutter with Himmelberger-Harrison and an attendant at Home Oil Co. He lived at Sikeston 25 years.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mike and Jeffery Bryan of Sikeston, Bobby Bryan of Fruitland, Mo.; a daughter, Crystal Oakes of Sikeston; two brothers, Terry Ward of Bethany, Mo., Billy Ward of Delta, Mo.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel after noon Thursday.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
