NEW HAMBURG, Mo. -- Richard Emmeitt Thomure, 46, of Summersville, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, at his home.
He was born Nov. 25, 1957, at Ironton, Mo., son of Emmett and Roberta Houser Thomure. He and Donna Marie Cook were married May 5, 2001, in Summersville.
Thomure attended high school in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., and was a 1973 graduate of auctioneer school in Mason City, Iowa.
He was a custodian at Summersville Elementary School, and member of Bible Way Home Mission Church of Summersville.
Thomure served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1977.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Steven Thomure of Mountain View, Mo., Richard Thomure II and Thomas Thomure of Beaver Dam, Ky., Jessie Potter of Middletown, Mo.; a daughter, Tarah Snyder of Mountain View; his parents of Mountain View; three brothers, Michael and Jeffrey Thomure of Summersville, and Bradford Thomure of New Hamburg.
Also surviving are five sisters, Sherri Quibodeaus of Hartshorn, Mo., Sheila Risner, Roberta Young, Sandra Ledbetter and Karen Foster, all of Mountain View; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by grandparents.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Yarber Chapel in Mountain View, with the Rev. Steve Steelman officiating. Burial will be in Summersville City Cemetery.
