PATTON, Mo. -- Richard O. "Dick" Taul, 83, of Jackson, formerly of Patton, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 19, 1933, at Canalou, Missouri, son of Ernest and Edna Beahringer Taul.
He and Barbara F. Newman were united in marriage Jan. 1, 1954, at Sikeston, Missouri.
Taul was a retired owner of the Twin City Power Equipment and John Deere Dealership in Festus, Missouri, and attended the Shawnee Hills Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Taul of Jackson; a daughter, Cyrethia Hamlett of Jackson; two brothers, James Taul of Canalou and Larry Taul of Marquand, Missouri; a grandson, Brandon Pendergrass; and a great-granddaughter, Evelyn Grace.
Preceding him in death were his son Rickey Taul; two brothers, Bob Taul and Jerry Taul; two sisters, Betty Joyce and Earlene; and one grandson, Jeron Hamlett.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Reagan Chapel Cemetery Association.
Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel in Patton, with the Rev. Don Estes and a great-nephew, Joseph Gray, officiating. Burial will follow in the Reagan Chapel Cemetery near Patton.
