Richard Edward Stuckmeyer, 76, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, March 6, 2020, at Lutheran Home.

He was born Dec. 11, 1943, in St. Louis, son of Roy H. and Birdie Schmidt Stuckmeyer. He and Paulette Jansen Cook were united in marriage July 6, 2006.

Richard retired from the Division of Social Services as a fraud investigator and served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette; son, David Stuckmeyer of Florida; daughters, Cynthia Nagel, Jennifer, Susan and Kelly Stuckmeyer, all of Missouri; stepchildren, Beverly (Steve) Smith of Patton, Missouri, and Donna (Micah) Bristow and Carol (Kevin) Carroll of Marble Hill, Missouri; brother, Ray Stuckmeyer of St. Louis; sister, Elaine Heuitt of Ironton, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Roy.

Services will be at a later date, with Liley Funeral Homes in Marble Hill in charge of arrangements.
