Richard Lynn Shockley, 76, of Bee Branch, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
He was born March 8, 1938, in Mount Vernon, Missouri, to Ivan and Maxine Hughes Shockley.
Richard worked at Sears Roebuck in Cape Girardeau 17 years before becoming a partner in Service 4 Carwash and Capetown RV. He was a member and past exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 639.
He retired to enjoy fishing on Greer's Ferry Lake and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sue Reed Shockley; two daughters, Cheryl (Leroy) Schenimann of Jackson, Patty Stricklen of Bee Branch; two sons, Steve Shockley of Jackson and Terry (Aprill) Shockley of Katy Texas.
Also 10 grandchildren, Lucas and Jacob Schenimann, Aaron (fiancee Sabrina Eaves) and Logan Shockley, Brett and Josh (fiancee Holly Irwin) LaForest, and Joe, Alec, Bryce and Julia Shockley; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Fiona and McKenzie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sugar Loaf Pavilion at Greer's Ferry Lake. Interment will be in Shiloh Crossroads Cemetery near Greer's Ferry Lake.
