Richard L. "Rick" Seiler, 57, of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at his son's home in Jackson.
He was born Nov. 10, 1954, in St. Louis, son of Leonard and Betty Stovall Seiler.
Rick was a ranch hand most of his life, most recently in Montana. He enjoyed working with horses, mules and livestock. He loved spending time with his family, and doted on his grandchildren; fishing with his grandchildren being one of his favorite pastimes. Although Rick had grandchildren of his own, many others called him "Papa."
Loving survivors include two daughters, Angel (David) Engelen of Whitewater, Bonnie Seiler of Patton, Mo.; a son, Tony (Sherri) Brethold of Jackson; his mother, Betty Ford of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Lenny (Jeanne) Seiler of Friedheim, Benny (Diana Koehler) Seiler of Oak Ridge, Andy Seiler of California; two sisters, JoAnn Dallas of Jackson, Sarah Seiler of California; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and two sisters, Mary Dell Seiler and Carol Riley.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Huffman officiating.
