Richard Roth

Richard Dean Roth, 71, of Jackson died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at his home.

He was born Dec. 18, 1952, in Cape Girardeau to Vernon and Miriam E. Roth Sr.

He and Sue Ann Eaglin were married April 14, 1983, in Cape Girardeau.

Richard served six years in the National Guard. He enjoyed being with his family and loved his cats and his old cars.

Survivors include two brothers, Vernon (Janet) Roth Jr. of Cape Girardeau and Jeff (Karen) Roth of Jackson; two sisters, Linda (Bob) Perkins of Fruitland and Mona Dockins of Oak Ridge; sister-in-law, Jan Roth of Jackson; brother-in-Law, Danny Monroe of Cape Girardeau; father-in-law, Lee Eaglin; mother-in-law, Nadine Eaglin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Monroe; brother, Gary Roth; and brother-in law, Don Dockins.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 12, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at noon Monday, Feb. 12, at the funeral home, with Pastor Alex Niswonger officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given towards family use.
