ADVANCE, Mo. -- Richard R. Mullins, 83, of Advance died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 9, 1923, at Concord, Mo., son of Richard Robert and Avery Ellen Summers Mullins. He married Dorothy Hardin, who preceded him in death.
Mullins worked with the Newspaper Co. in St. Louis.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son, Ray Mullins of Baton Rouge, La.; a daughter, Brenda Kennedy of Advance; a brother, Walter Mullins of Malden, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sons and three sisters.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, Mo.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dry Bayou Church in Concord. Burial will be in Dry Bayou Cemetery.
