PUXICO -- Funeral service for Richard L. Sebree of Puxico will be held at 1 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico. The Revs. Ray Placher and Kenny Condray will officiate, with burial in Rock Hill Cemetery.
Sebree, 69, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 1995, at Doctors' Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
He was born June 1, 1925, in Malden, son of Fred and Daisy Venable Sebree. He and Elwanda Fowler were married April 5, 1946, in Malden.
Sebree had lived in this area 48 years, and had worked at Mingo Refuge 20 years. He was a member and deacon at Corinth General Baptist Church, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Puxico. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Elaine Clark of Puxico; a brother, J.R. McGowen of Flint, Mich.; two sisters, Veatrice Denbow of Poplar Bluff, Ponda Crawford of Malden, and two grandsons.
