Richard Paul Hodge, 69, of Chaffee passed away peacefully at his home Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, surrounded by family, after a 10-year battle with prostate cancer.

He was born July 19, 1955, in Cape Girardeau to Elery Lee and Lora “Delo” Dunn Hodge. Richard was a 1974 graduate of Chaffee High School.

Richard and Carol Glastetter were married July 30, 1977., at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee. They recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary.

He previously was employed at HWI (Do It Best) before he became disabled after a stroke in 2008, which took most of his ability to talk. Richard loved to mow, garden and work in the yard. He also loved his seven grandsons, and, oh, how he loved Tyson’s football games!
