Funeral service for Richard "Dick" Harrison, 1515 Carter, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Lewis Hejna will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Harrison, 62, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1994, at his home.
He was born Aug. 27, 1932, at Benton, son of Lyman and Ruby Moore Harrison. He and Janey Smith were married June 15, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nev. She died May 16, 1993.
Harrison was a graduate of Kelly High School at Benton and played basketball there. He received a bachelor of science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in 1954.
He was a representative with McKesson-Robbins Pharmaceutical Co. six years, worked at Wholesale Building Products in Memphis, Tenn., and then worked at Certain-Teed Co.
Harrison moved back to Benton in 1975 and operated Moore's Store in Canalou, and later worked at Forklift of Cape. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1981 and had been a self-employed realtor since that time, specializing in commercial property. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Harrison of Hampton, Va., Michael Harrison of Ft. Meade, Md.; a daughter, Suzanna Martin of Sikeston; a brother, Robert Harrison of Cape Girardeau, and a sister, Mary Hoskins of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
