Richard Steven Freeman, 56, of Scott City passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 20, 1959, at Denver, Colorado, the son of Boyce and Barbara Howell Freeman. He and Betty Leist were married Jan. 4, 2006.
Richard was an ordained minister and a truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Betty Freeman of Scott City; his father, Boyce Freeman of Cape Girardeau; a son, Richard (Kelly) Freeman of Scott City; two daughters, Christian Freeman of Chaffee, Missouri, and Starla Freeman of Perkins, Missouri; three stepsons, Andy, Dennis and Eric Geswein, all of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers, Alan and Shawn Freeman, both of Texas; four sisters, Cheryl Hyder of Texas, Regina Freeman and Ericka Wiseman, both of Jackson, and Barbara Crowden of Cape Girardeau; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the Victory Life Center Pentecostal Church in Oran, Missouri.
Memorial service will be at noon Saturday at the church. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at amick-burnettfuneralchapels.com.
