Richard L. Campbell, 64, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the home of a sister in Chesterfield, Missouri.
He was born Sept. 20, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, to Lynuel Leon and Mildred "Millie" Schearf Campbell. He and Cathy Scholz were married July 22, 1967.
Rick was an electrician 45 years and retired from Sachs Electric after 30 years of service. He was a member of IBEW Local 1.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Cathy; and his mother, Mildred "Millie" Campbell of Chesterfield. He was a loving father to a son, Aaron (Claudia) Campbell, as well as two daughters, Angie (Carl) Fitzgerald and Rhonda Campbell; a wonderful brother to his sister, Connie Westbrook of Chesterfield; and cherished grandpa to three grandchildren, Kala, Connor and Cage.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Proffer Cemetery at Crump.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Siteman Cancer Center Research Center in honor of Richard Campbell, Campus Box 1204, 7425 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105.
