JACKSON, Mo. -- Richard Vaughn Bruce, 72, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Tunica, Miss.
He was born March 27, 1929, in Grenola, Kan., son of Lawrence Bruce and Edna Robertson Bruce. He and Joy Hill were married on Nov. 11, 1951 in Van Buren, Ark.
He was the director of material management at Tinker Air Force Base, and served with the United States Air Force in World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debbie Kapfer of Cape Girardeau and Vickie Thomas of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Jerry Bruce of Norman, Okla; one sister, Bonnie Grim of Cape Girardeau; and six grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Derek Staples officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by the Delta Team of Cape Girardeau.
