The Rev. Roy Richard Albert Krueger, 82, of Naperville, Ill., died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at his home. He was born May 22, 1925, in Bonduel, Wis. He and Margaret Hardt were married June 19, 1954. The Rev. Roy Richard Albert Krueger, 82, of Naperville, Ill., died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at his home.

He was born May 22, 1925, in Bonduel, Wis. He and Margaret Hardt were married June 19, 1954.

Krueger graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Ill., and was ordained in 1956.

He served churches in Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Colorado and North Carolina. He also served as circuit counselor in seven different circuits, as well as Lutheran Laymen's League counselor and on the board of Lutheran Children's Friend Society in Michigan.

Krueger was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jonathan Krueger of South Dakota; two daughters, Christine Krueger of Atlanta, Elizabeth Hahn of Naperville; a brother, Harry Krueger of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Ruth Mertz of West Bend, Wis.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home in Naperville, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Naperville.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in St. Luke Cemetery in Chicago.
