DONGOLA, Ill. -- The Rev. Lester Kesler, 88, of Paducah, Ky., formerly of Dongola, died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born July 11, 1909, in Union County, son of Calvin A. and Flora A. Beggs Kesler. He and Vernell Rudolph were married Dec. 3, 1944.
Kesler pastored Cumberland Presbyterian churches in Kentucky and Illinois 58 years. He was a member of Union Lodge 627 AF&AM at Lick Creek.
Survivors include his wife, and a brother, Earl Kesler of Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 6-9 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Willard Murrie officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive/Meisenheimer Cemetery.
