Rev. Leonard Bond
PUXICO, Mo. -- The Rev. Leonard E. Bond, 77, of Puxico died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at the Puxico Nursing Center.
He was born Sept. 13, 1930, son of Harvey and Beulah Tolbert Bond. He and Cynthia Isaac were married April 12, 1954, at Piggott, Ark. She died Sept. 6, 1980.
Bond was a retired farmer. He had been a General Baptist minister. Bond was a member of the Pleasant Valle Church in Sturdivant, Mo. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son, Teddy Bond of Meadville, Mo.; three daughters, Linda Bond of Greenville, S.C., Patti Cheatum of Springfield, Mo., Debbie Goodier of Jackson; a brother, Buddy Bond of Advance, Mo.; a sister, Wanda "Sis" Limbaugh of Advance; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dale Wiseman officiating. Interment will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
