The Rev. John I. Reimold, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1931, in Detroit, Mich., to Carl J. and Alma Zabel Reimold. He and Margie Grossheider were married June 10, 1953, in Gordonville.

Reimold was in education for 25 years. The last 20 years he was a principal at a parochial school in Memphis, Tenn. Later in life he went into the ministry where he worked with several different parishes in Arkansas before retiring in 1996. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Reimold of Cape Girardeau; four sons, Paul J. Reimold of Havertown, Pa., Peter J. Reimold of Buchanan, Tenn., Mark J. Reimold of Oakton, Va., and Michael Reimold of Summersfield, Tenn.; three daughters, Lisa K. Perry of Jackson, Laura L. Kingsley of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Heidi C. Reimold of Jackson, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a grandchild.

Friends may call 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
