Rev. James Graham

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- The Rev. James P. Graham, 94, of Perryville died Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at St. Mary's of the Barrens Healthcare.

He was born July 16, 1911, in Kansas City, Kan., son of James P. and Eva Burgard Graham.

Graham was ordained May 30, 1937, at St., Mary's of the Barrens. He received a master's degree from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., in 1942.

His apostolate assignments included pastor of St. Henry Church in Charleston, Mo., and St. John's Parish in Leopold, Mo., served at the Evangelization Center in Cape Girardeau, and was director of Vincentian Foreign Mission Society in St. Louis.

He also served positions in San Fernando, Calif., Bethany, Okla., Denver. Colo., Kansas City, Mo., and Perryville.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Friends may call at St. Mary's of the Barrens after 5 p.m. today, and Thursday until time of service. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 tonight.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Vincentian Community Cemetery.
