The Rev. Fred M. Baker, 79, of Marble Hill died Oct. 9, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born April 13, 1914, in Bollinger County, the son of Samuel Baker and Janie Eaker Baker . The Rev. Fred M. Baker, 79, of Marble Hill died Oct. 9, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born April 13, 1914, in Bollinger County, the son of Samuel Baker and Janie Eaker Baker .

He married Veda Jaines June 27, 1936.

He was a retired automobile mechanic and a member of the Point Pleasant (Cane Creek) General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Clifford Baker of Troy and Mike Baker of Oran; two daughters, Linda Stevens of Wentzville and Kay Glasstetter of Chaffee; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one granddaughter, and 10 sisters and brothers.

Friends may call at Baker Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Baker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Rudy Pitmann and Rev. Bobby Robbins officiating.

Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery near Zalma.
