SIKESTON -- The Rev. Donald Franklin Williams, 51, of Sikeston, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 1991, at his home.

He was born July 17, 1940, in Leachville, Ark., son of Elmer D. and Viola J. Williams. He and Carolyn N. Nowell were married Dec. 23, 1961, in Marmaduke, Ark.

Williams was a sales representative with Delden Garage Door Manufacturing Co. of Valley Park, and was a Missionary Baptist minister.

He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, and former pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church at Sikeston. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mark Williams of Sikeston, Scott Williams of the home; his mother of Dyersburg, Tenn.; six brothers, Ray and Johnny Williams of St. Louis, Glen and Jimmy Williams of Kansas City, Larry Williams of Southaven, Miss., J.R. Williams of Dyersburg; three sisters, Arah Irby of Dyersburg, Jackie Ferguson of Liberty, Betty Kappelman of Dallas, Texas, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Adams officiating.

The body will then be taken to Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Lafe, Ark., where friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Saturday. A graveside service will follow in Providence Cemetery.
