MORLEY -- The Rev. Bob Williamson, 67, of Morley, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis.
He was born June 9, 1932, at Essex, son of W.J. and Anna Fortner Williamson. He and Dorris Sheehy were married Aug. 1, 1953, in Bernie.
Williamson served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Morley Baptist Church.
He became an ordained minister in 1958 and served as pastor of Baptist churches in Scott, Mississippi, Stoddard and Pemiscot counties.
He served as a volunteer fireman for the Morley Fire Department and helped organized the Scott County Rural Fire District. He had also operated and owned Morley Plumbing Co.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Barbara Caldwell and Brenda Freed, both of Morley and Karen Wills of Jackson; two brothers, Marion Williamson of Bloomfield; a twin, Bill Williamson of Sikeston; two sisters, Rachel Smith of Dexter and Jean DeJournette of Essex; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Morley Baptist Church, with the Revs. Dennis Cebulak and Dale Huff officiating. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery near Idalia.
