MAYFIELD, Ky. -- The Rev. Bob Cantrell, 77, of Mayfield passed away Friday, May 18, 2018, at the Mills Health and Rehab Facility in Mayfield.
He was a member of First Church of The Nazarene in Mayfield and a member of the Mayfield Lions Club. He retired in 2007 after serving as a Nazarene minister for 45 years in several states.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Parish Cantrell; a son; Mike (Teresa) Cantrell of Mayfield; a daughter, Deborah (Brian) Schaffer of Estes Park, Colorado; a sister, Janet (Bob) Wills of O'Fallon, Missouri; four grandsons, Tyler (Ashley) Cantrell of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Bryson Schaffer and Eric (Emily) Schaffer, both of Denton, Texas, and David Schaffer of Nashville, Tennessee; a granddaughter, Michelle (Philip) Noel of Columbia, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Eugene and Christine Brasher Cantrell.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield and after 1 p.m. Sunday at First Church of The Nazarene in Mayfield.
A celebration of life service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Steve Melvin officiating. Interment will follow in Mayfield Memory Gardens.
