ESSEX -- Reuben D. Lacey, 82, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1994, at his home in Essex.
He was born May 25, 1912, in Canalou, son of Denver and Early Mae Bohannon Lacey.
On Jan. 24, 1970, he married Maxine Eaton in Collinsville, Ill. She survives.
Lacey was a former resident of the St. Louis area and lived in Essex for the last 12 years.
He was a retired truck driver with Complete Auto Transportation Co. He was a member of the Assembly of God church.
In addition to his wife, survivors are three sons, Gale Eaton, Essex, Herbert Lacey, Imperial, and Jerry Lacey, Ste. Genevieve; four daughters, Connie McAnulty, Germantown, Tenn., Bernice Williamson and Brenda Puricelli, both of Denton, Texas, and Peggy Barks, Dexter; a sister, Irene Ambrose, Canalou; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call today after noon at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Graveside service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with the Rev. George Hill officiating.
