PERRYVILLE -- William S. "Red" Duvall, 88, of Perryville died Friday, April 30, 1999, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 29, 1911, in St. Louis, son of William Lewis and Matilda DeRoe Duvall. He and Irene A. Heinbokel were married Feb. 19, 1938.
Duvall was a retired farmer. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church at Sereno, Knights of Columbus Council 1263, and American Legion Booster Post 133.
Survivors include his wife; a sister, Marie Fassold of St. Louis; two brothers, Joe Duvall of West Frankfort, Ill., and Robert Duvall of Fenton.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister, and a brother.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30-9:20 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Victory Church. The Rev. Francis Agnew will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, Ill.
