REBECCA L. RUSHING

DONGOLA, Ill. -- Rebecca L. "Becky" Rushing, 22, Dongola Route 2, died Thursday, March 2, 1995, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale from injuries received in an automobile accident.

She was born May 13, 1972, in Waukegan, Ill., daughter of Donald and Constance Govekar Shipley. She and Edwin V. Rushing were married May 23, 1992, in Anna.

Rushing was a 1990 graduate of Anna-Jonesboro High School, and was expected to graduate in May from Southern Illinois University with a degree in elementary and special education. She was student teaching at Unity Point Grade School south of Carbondale. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna.

Survivors include her husband; her parents of Anna; two brothers, Donald Jr. and Richard Shipley of Anna; maternal grandmother, Valeria Govekar of North Chicago, and paternal grandmother, Lucille Shipley of Anna.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
