Rebecca Guzman, daughter to Kenny Menz and Mary Jo Ressel, was born Jan. 20, 1973, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 48 years.

She married Tracy Guzman Sept. 21, 1994, at Morley (Missouri) Baptist Church. He survives of the home.

Becky graduated from Oran (Missouri) High School and went on to graduate from Southeast Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences as a surgical technician.

Becky was a stay-at-home mom and was well known for her humor, kindness and beautiful smile. She was a strong Christian who loved the Lord and her family. Becky's daughter, Brandy, was the light of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tracy Guzman, and daughter, Brandy Guzman, both of Oran; two brothers, Jason Prince and Justin Prince, both of Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Julie (Michael) Marcum of Cape Girardeau and Jessica (C.W.) Stacy of Marble Hill, Missouri; and maternal grandmother, Doris Ressel of Oran.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jo Ressel; maternal grandfather, Herman Ressel; paternal grandfather and grandmother, Robby and Vivian Menz.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Faith Family Church in Painton, Missouri.

Funeral will be at the church at noon Thursday, with the Rev. Don Jolliff officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Missouri.
