Raymond Glen "Buck" Yost, 82, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at Southeast- HEALTH in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 14, 1934, in Potosi, Missouri, to Louis L. and Ethel Gibson Yost. He and Norma Jean Mowery were married Sept. 11, 1955, in Potosi.
Buck worked many years in industrial mining, retiring in 2000. After retirement, he drove vehicles for Bening Motor Co. in Jackson.
He loved and adored his family. His memberships include First Baptist Church in Jackson; Masonic Lodge #131 AF & AM in Potosi; and Order of Eastern Star #91 in Jackson, serving as chaplain.
Loving survivors include his wife of 61 years, Norma Jean Yost of Jackson; two sons, Michael (Sue) Yost of Swansea, Illinois, and Danny (Pam) Yost of Wildwood, Missouri; two grandchildren, Eric (Emily) Yost and Amanda (Braden) Schrum; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Roma Mason of St. Peters, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lewis and Jack Yost.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lucas Clabough officiating.
Graveside committal will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the New Masonic Cemetery in Potosi, Missouri. Family and friends will gather from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Potosi Southern Baptist Church.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association or First Baptist Church (Music Program) in Jackson.
