UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Raymond W. Schilling, 83, of Uniontown died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 3, 1920, at Frohna, Mo., son of Frederick and Bertha Wunderlich Schilling. He and Alma Kasten were married Sept. 21, 1946.
Schilling had worked at Mississippi Lime Co. in Ste. Gene-vieve, Mo. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown, American Legion Post 133, Disabled American Veterans and VFW.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Wallace Schilling of Perryville, Kevin Schilling of Nesbit, Miss.; four daughters, Sandra Lohmann, Diann Mueller and Pamela Pingel of Perryville, Sharon Rothermich of Horn Lake, Miss.; a brother, Ruben Schilling of Festus, Mo.; two sisters, Lorna Dreyer of Cape Girardeau, Dorsey Petzoldt of Pocahontas; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30 to 8:15 a.m. An American Legion wake service will be held at 7 tonight.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 133.
