PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Raymond A. Rudert, 96, of Perryville died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
He was born April 7, 1922, in Shawneetown, son of Adolph and Pauline Ladreiter Rudert. He and Dorothea H. Hunze were married Aug. 25, 1946. She preceded him in death Jan. 29, 2004.
Raymond had been a jeweler and owner-operator of Ruderts Jewelers. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Men's Chorus, Perryville Lion's Club, American Legion Post 133, VFW Post 4282 and chamber of commerce and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, David (Karen) Rudert of Perryville; two daughters, Betty (Paul) Clifton of Perryville and Sharon (Tim) Seabaugh of Barnhart, Missouri; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three brothers, J. Ben, Edward and Hugo Rudert; and two sisters, Gertrude Mirly and Selma Wild.
Visitation will be from from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Handrick officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, with military graveside honors provided by American Legion Post 133 and U.S. Air Force.
Memorials are preferred to the Immanuel Lutheran Men's Choir or Kindred Hospice.
