WHITEWATER -- Raymond H. Rhodes, 82, of Whitewater died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 15, 1916, at Stroderville, son of George W. and Belle Dora Proffer Rhodes.
Rhodes was a retired self-employed farmer. He was a member of Missouri Fox Hunters Association.
Survivors include five daughters, Martha LaVeryn of Bay St. Louis, Miss., Betty Shuls and Carol Jeffries of Villa Ridge, Mo., Judy Semkin of New London, Cindy Diggs of Hoyleton, Ill.; three sisters, Loretta Wheeler of Cape Girardeau, Loraine Chandler of Whitewater, Kathleen Jones of Jackson; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a brother, and a grandson.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at the chapel, with Gerald Jones officiating. Burial will be in Stroderville Cemetery.
