Raymond Owens

Raymond Michael Owens, 78, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, March 11, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 8, 1943, in Cape Girardeau to Raymond S. and Grace Reynolds Owens. He and Mary Rosalie Wagoner were married June 9, 1963, in Cape Girardeau.

Raymond graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1961.

He had worked for Mid-South Steel and retired from Wallis Oil Company after 28 yrs.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Owens of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Christine R. Bowman of Cape Girardeau; son, Mark (Joy) Owens of Jackson; two brothers, Joe (Jama) Martin of Dearborn, Minnesota, and Jim (Connie) Owens of Lebanon, Tennessee; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Shriners Hospitals For Children.
