Raymond Clois Hood, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born Aug. 12, 1919, in Bloomfield, Missouri, to Ralph and Flora Swinton Hood.

He and Myrtle E. Lewis were married March 16, 1940, at Bloomfield. She preceded him in death June 21, 2015.

Raymond was a truck driver for Cape GMC 30 years.

He was a member of First General Baptist Church, where he served as an usher 40 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda K. (Gregory) Unsbee of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Stacey (Ross) Marshall, Craig Mills, Shannon Mills, Wendy (Jason) McKee and Amanda (Rudy) Cobb; and six great-grandchildren, Clayton and Blake Marshall, Matthew and Allee McKee, and Kayona and Aaliyah Cobb.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a daughter, Shelby Mills; and a brother, Harold Hood.

Friends may call from noon until service time Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Ramdial officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to SoutheastHEALTH Foundation.
