He was born April 3, 1910, in Dutchtown, son of Adam and Katherine Ellinger Heisserer. He married Colletta Brucker on June 7, 1931, and she preceded him in death on April 1, 1949...

SCOTT CITY -- Raymond Benjamin Heisserer, 87, of Scott City died Saturday, June 28, 1997, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 3, 1910, in Dutchtown, son of Adam and Katherine Ellinger Heisserer. He married Colletta Brucker on June 7, 1931, and she preceded him in death on April 1, 1949.

He had worked as a self-employed carpenter.

He is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Essner of Maryland Heights, Jo Ann Hinkebein of Kelso and Judy Jose of Wentsville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters and one grandchild.

Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Church in Kelso with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Church cemetery.
