Raymond C. Greaser, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008 at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Feb. 9, 1924, in Dutchtown, son of Leo and Lillie Thomure Greaser. He and Jean Krebs were married June 9, 1956, in Indiana, Pa.
Greaser was a graduate of Jackson High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from Jan. 26, 1943, to May 1, 1964. He moved back to Cape Girardeau after retiring from the Air Force. He was a lab technician 10 years at River City Dental, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Bernadette Schultz of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jeanette Guzowski of Tiffin, Ohio; a brother, Robert Greaser of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Mary Lou Greaser of Cape Girardeau, Shirley Ann Greaser, SSND, of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren, Raymond, Erin and Kathryn Schultz; Brian, John, Mary, Peter, Thomas, Jenny and Sarah Guzowski.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Greaser.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery with full military honors by Missouri Honor Team.
