SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Raymond Junior Gray, 67, of Scott City died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at his home.
He was born June 3, 1933, at Portageville, son of James Robert and Sarah Melissa Ford Gray. He and Josephine Biggs were married April 15, 1952, at Parma.
Gray worked as a sheet metal worker for McDonnell-Douglas at St. Louis for 17 years before retiring in 1967.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Chad Gray of Olive Branch, Ill., and Jimmy and Wesley Gray, both of Scott City; two daughters, Melissa McFall of Dexter, Mo., and Patty Minner of Scott City; two brothers, Buck Gray of Puxico, Mo., and D.W. Gray of Jefferson City, Mo.; five sisters, Ruth Muse of Portageville, Mo., Joyce Sanders of Puxico, Margie Silman of Marston, Mo., Maggie Stocker of St. Louis, Mo., and Mary Brown of Indianapolis, Ind.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, four sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Scott City.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Carl Hester officiating.
Burial will follow at Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.
