LEOPOLD -- Raymond George Elfrink, 65, of Leopold died Saturday, July 1, 1995, near Puxico. He was born May 9, 1930, at Laflin, the son of Fred W. and Louise A. Anger Elfrink. LEOPOLD -- Raymond George Elfrink, 65, of Leopold died Saturday, July 1, 1995, near Puxico.

He was born May 9, 1930, at Laflin, the son of Fred W. and Louise A. Anger Elfrink. He and Dorothy Landawee were married Oct. 29, 1952.

Elfrink worked for the Jackson Lumber Co. for 20 years. He later retired from the Kasten Building Center.

He was a member of the St. John's Catholic parish in Leopold. He was also a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and a member of the VFW Post 5900.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Alan Elfrink of Leopold, Brian Elfrink of Marble Hill, Harlan Elfrink of Thompson, Nelson Elfrink of Monroe City and Leland Elfrink of Fenton; five daughters, Rosalie Burnett and Lillie Hahn, both of Jackson, Becky Eftink of Oran, Beverly Broshuis of Advance and Avis Bollinger of Farmington; three brothers, Donald and Fred Elfrink, both of Leopold and Justin Elfrink of Jackson; four sisters, Agnes Trankle of Leopold and Loretta, Rosalin and Therese Elfrink, all of St. Louis; and 18 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at the St. John's Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Nichols and the Rev. Michael Lee will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
