COBDEN, Ill. -- Raymond E. Williams, 84, of Cobden died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996, at his home.
He was born Feb. 11, 1912, in Trask, son of the late Arlie and Pearl Smith Williams. He married Rita Baggott on April 21, 1937, in Union County, Ill. She survives him.
He was a former manager of Associated Lumber Co. in Cobden for 45 years and a member of the First Baptist Church in Cobden.
He is survived by a son, Jerold Williams of Harrisburg; a daughter, Janis Corrington of Cobden; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Cobden Cemetery.
