MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Raymond James Collins, 73, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at Eldercare of Marble Hill.
He was born Sept. 14, 1930, at Schlatitz, Mo., son of James Henderson and Hollie Roberts Collins. He and Sylvia Long were married Oct. 14, 1950, in Piggott, Ark.
Collins had worked for M&G Co., Saveway Appliance and Gas Co., driver for Uregas, and at a service station. He was a member of Ladd Chapel General Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church of Marble Hill.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Dennis Collins of Sedgewickville, Mo., Roger Collins of Union, Mo., Gary Collins of Grand Tower, Ill., Brad Collins of Oak Ridge; a daughter, Betty Rambo of Marble Hill; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, two brothers, and three sisters.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Fred Ritter and Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
