MORLEY, Mo. -- Ray Eugene Nunnally, 59, of Morley died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born Sept. 3, 1943, in Eaton, Ark., son of Raymond C. and Jane L. Powers Nunnally.
Nunnally played in rock and roll bands in the 1950s and 1960s, owned a tax service at Morley, co-owned Caleb's Tavern in Oran, Mo., and retired from Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway.
He was a member of Chaffee VFW and Chaffee Elks at Chaffee, Mo.
Nunnally served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was awarded a Bronze Star.
Survivors include a son, Tommy Nunnally of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Scarlett Smith of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Alvin Nunnally of St. Louis, Bobby Nunnally of Chaffee, and Gary Nunnally of Patton, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, with graveside rites by Missouri Military Funeral Honors.
