RAY DAVIS

PERRYVILLE -- Ray M. Davis, 88, of Perryville died Sunday, April 9, 2000, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born Sept. 10, 1911, at Shaw, son of Murry and Mary Leible Davis. He and Myrtle Heinbokel were married Sept. 23, 1933. She died Sept. 17, 1997.

Davis had been manager of Davis Supply. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church at Sereno, Perryville Chamber of Commerce, Mississippi Valley Farm Equipment Dealer Association, and American Legion Booster Post 133.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Davis of Perryville, Jimmie Davis of Boca Raton, Fla.; a brother, Howard Davis of Perryville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-9:20 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Victory Church, with the Rev. Francis Agnew officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Chester, Ill.
