RAPHAEL V. ZAHNER

PERRYVILLE -- Raphael V. Zahner, 93, of Perryville, died Thursday, May 11, 1995, at Perry Oaks Health Care Center.

He was born Oct. 27, 1901, in Perry County, son of Simon and Ellen Feltz Zahner. He and Ruth M. McClure were married July 15, 1925. She died April 4, 1986.

Zahner was a retired farmer. He also made and sold knives. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Frances Wingerter of Bonne Terre; two sisters, Adell Schremp of Brewer, and Marie May of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, five brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30-10:45 a.m. The wake will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
