BENTON, Mo. -- Randy L. Ziegler, 56, of Benton died Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 16, 1960, in St. Louis to Arthur Louis "Art" and Anita A. Glastetter. He and Pamela Lentz were married May 26, 1979, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.
Randy was a 1978 graduate of Kelly High School and a 1983 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in communication.
He was an advertising salesman in the television and radio industry.
He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church.
Randy wrote poetry. He was also a musician, playing guitar in a number of bands.
Survivors include one daughter, Brandi (Chris) Kilburn of Benton; three sons, Jon Paul (Laura) Ziegler of Sikeston, Missouri, Barry (Christy) Ziegler of Benton and Lee Ziegler of Sikeston; and nine grandchildren, Chloe, Paityn, Trystyn and Haydyn, Tyler, Gavin and Brighton, Mason and Olivia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ada Ree Neely.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Benton Chapel.
The family will have a private committal service, with the Rev. Michael Casteel officiating. Burial will be at St. Denis Church Cemetery in Benton.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Denis Grade School.
