Randolph "Randy" C. Kasten, 54, of Jackson went to his heavenly home Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. He was born Jan. 16, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, son of R.C. and Ruth Ann Eifert Kasten. Randy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. He was a 1977 graduate of Jackson High School and was employed by Do It Best for 34 years. ...

Randolph "Randy" C. Kasten, 54, of Jackson went to his heavenly home Friday, Feb. 15, 2013.

He was born Jan. 16, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, son of R.C. and Ruth Ann Eifert Kasten.

Randy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. He was a 1977 graduate of Jackson High School and was employed by Do It Best for 34 years. Randy was a kind and gentle soul who loved to fish, hunt and cook out with his many friends. He will be remembered as someone who would help anyone and never ask for anything in return.

Loving survivors include his father, R.C. Kasten of Jackson; two sisters, Renee (John) Amos of Jackson and Debbie Kasten of St. Louis; a niece, Michelle (Randy) Dees of Scott City; a nephew, Chris Amos of Cape Girardeau; and two great-nieces, Jolee and Ellie Dees of Scott City.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandparents.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and from noon until time of service Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Paul Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society or a charity of donor's choice.
