SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Randy Keith Jones, 56, of Sedgewickville passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, surrounded by his loved ones at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 14, 1960, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Kelly Paul and Melba Patterson Jones. He and Janice Cook were married July 21, 1979.

Randy was a 1978 graduate of Meadow Heights High School. He attended Southeast Missouri State University.

Randy worked for Clark Lift in Cape Girardeau and in the oil fields in Oklahoma, until returning to Missouri. He then worked as a mechanic at Buchheit's and later for People First in Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of Sedgewickville Baptist Church in Sedgewickville. Randy enjoyed playing basketball in high school. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed playing pitch with family and friends, listening to classic rock music and reading his Bible.

Loving survivors include two sons, Kelly Jones of Sedgewickville and Eric (fiancee, Kylee Shoemake) Jones of Patton, Missouri; a daughter, Lindsey (Owen) Skoler of Maplewood, Missouri; his mother, Melba Moore of Sedgewickville; two sisters, Debbie (Kenneth) Hahs of Sedgewickville and Patti (Dude) Clippard of Farmington, Missouri; and four grandchildren, Ethan, Harley, Maddix and Violet.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Rick Jones.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Sander officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center to assist the family with final expenses.
