MURPHYSBORO, Ill. -- Randy Joe Shadowens, 38, of Murphysboro, Ill., formerly of Cobden, Ill., died Wednesday Feb. 12, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 3, 1958, in Carbondale, Ill.

He was a bricklayer and member of the Local 8 of Murphysboro.

He is survived by his parents, Ruth Shadowens and Donald Shadowens, both of Cobden; three brothers, Jack and Terry Shadowens and Jeff Aldridge, all of Cobden; grandparents, Clarence and Esther Shadowens, of Makanda, Ill.; and loving friend Linda Rion, of Murphysboro.

He was preceded in death by grandparents.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Cliff Waller officiating. Burial will be in the Cobden Cemetery.
