Randy was born Sept. 18, 1946, in Dallas to Raymond and Evelyn Creech Blair. On Sept. 30, 1966, he married Barbara Ellen Long in Dallas. They made their home in Lancaster, Texas, in 1972, before moving to Cape Girardeau in 2017.
Randy graduated from Dallas Baptist University, served in the Texas Air National Guard and Dallas Police Reserves, and ministered as a deacon, youth Sunday school teacher and sound system operator for many years at First Baptist Church in Lancaster.
He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Randy worked as a moving consultant with Wheaton Van Lines and United Van Lines until retiring in 2014.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Wes Blair and Kyle Blair, and grandson, Bryce Blair, all of Cape Girardeau; brother, Travis Blair of Arlington, Texas; sister, Debbie (Carl) Stanbery of Lindale, Texas; nieces and nephew, Jennifer, Jessica, Sara, Kevin and Jennifer; and many great-nieces and -nephews.
Randy was an avid supporter of anything involving Wes, Kyle or Bryce, and he never missed a church potluck meal. He loved to travel, with his favorite destinations being scuba diving excursions, camping and ski trips with family and close friends, cruises and visiting New York to attend Broadway plays and musicals.
He will be best remembered as a Christian husband, father, grandfather, friend and for the brave battle he fought against Parkinson's disease for more than eight years.
