Randol C. Young, 57, of Dallas, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1991, at Humana Medical City Hospital in Dallas.
He was born Dec. 28, 1933, in Cape Girardeau, son of Earl and Lucille Young. He and Carmen Elizabeth Matias of New York were married July 17, 1982.
Young graduated from Central High School in 1952, and from Southeast Missouri State University in 1956. He served four years in the U.S. Navy, and attained the rank of lieutenant junior grade.
He then returned to Cape and to his position in the men's department at JCPenney on Main Street. He then worked 29 years in marketing management for the catalog division of Penneys in New York.
The couple moved to Dallas in 1988, where he continued in marketing management at corporate headquarters.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Emily Young of Waterloo, Ill., Ann Leiker of Hazelwood; his mother of Cape Girardeau; a brother, David Young of Jackson; two sisters, Pat McDonald of Fayetteville, Ark., and Virginia Young of Medina, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by an infant son and his father.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Jimmie Dace will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
