Ramona L. Brinkopf, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born April 7, 1930, in Stoddard County to Simeon English and Katie Cordelia Mason Lewis. She and William Henry George Brinkopf were married Jan. 10, 1964, in Cape Girardeau.
Ramona and her husband owned and operated Sunny Hill Garden and Pet Center from 1959 to 1992. She loved gardening, flowers and plants.
She was a member of Cape Evangelical United Church of Christ. She was also a member of St. Marks Chapter 167 Order Eastern Star and Kage Homemakers.
Survivors include a son, William (Sandy) Brinkopf of Gordonville; two grandchildren, Tyler (Emily) Brinkopf and Nicholas Brinkopf, both of Gordonville; and three great-grandchildren, William, Ava and Layla Brinkopf, all of Gordonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, July 1, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Monday, July 1, at the funeral home with the Rev. Debra Tracy officiating. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Cardinal Glennon Children's Foundation.
