RALPH RHODES

WHITEWATER, Mo. -- Ralph Michael Rhodes, 47, of Whitewater died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 8, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, son of William W. and Alice Ann Mosley Rhodes. He and Lenny Fletcher were married Sept. 8, 1973.

Rhodes was a former engineer with Burlington Northern Railway Co. in Chaffee, Mo. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chaffee, and member of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike Rhodes of Cape Girardeau, Andrew Rhodes of Whitewater; his father and stepmother, William and Shirley Rhodes of Chaffee; three brothers, Mark Rhodes of Fenton, Mo., Jon Rhodes of Columbia, Mo., Bill Rhodes of Chaffee; a sister, Laura Nurnberg of Holts Summit, Mo.; paternal grandmother, Margaret Rhodes of Chaffee; and a grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 3 p.m. Friday.

Funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Robert Dudley officiating.
